Great place to browse and shop. "Dave, the owner, was helpful and knowledgeable about their antiques, paintings and estate jewelry! I love to look at shiny things and he was so kind, opening the doors to let me look at the beautiful, reasonable pieces. He travels all over the South, finding custom pieces, all delightful. Definitely would recommend this shop, in the courtyard of the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, to anyone interested in antiques, collectibles, and estate jewelry." Theresa Trip Advisor/May 2021
Unique "I had the best experience. They have a lot of unique items. And their prices are really good considering what you're getting. They had such a unique selection and very very nice looking rings that we ended up leaving with five." Earl T. Trip Advisor/May 2021
Love this place "... it is one of my "go to's" whenever I'm in St. Augustine. It's located in the courtyard area of the Lightner museum (great place for photographs on a sunny day, btw... haha). Back to my review of C & L ... they maintain a really beautiful and unique selection of items... all quality. What's unique about this place, IMO, is the staff. They are quite knowledgeable about antiques, historical periods for when (and how) items would have been produced, as well as, the background of artists and craftmanship. Several times they've offered to research items I've asked about, then taken time to track down unique items, for me. They have demonstrated very good communication whether by phone, texting, or email ... and even without my asking, have been very reasonable with me on pricing. I think what stands out is that they are interested in forming a long-term relationship/satisfaction with their customers... not just pushing sales for a "one-time" purchase, which is really refreshing. I happen to have spoken to one or two other customers I've seen in the shop and they said their experiences were the same as mine. A unique gem of place in amongst all the "touristy" shops in St. Augustine." Seph G./Marietta, GA YELP/April 2021
Marvelous. "I absolutely loved the service provided to us; knowledge of various items shared. This is a place we stop by every time we are in St. Augustine. It has lots of different unique items." Anastasia S./Orlando, FL (Trip Advisor/August 2020)
Best antique shop I've found! "St. Augustine is filled with gems: historical, architectural, cultural, culinary. But for the serious collector of antiques one venue stands out above all the rest: Churchill and Lacroix Antiquaire on the Lightner Museum courtyard. The quality and variety of their collection is truly stunning. Moreover, Terry, the shop manager, is a pleasure to work with; his affability, knowledge and willingness to work with clients is very refreshing. The shops owners really love what they do and are head and shoulders above any other dealers I've met in terms of accommodating customer's needs. I drive to St. Augustine several times a year expressly to visit this remarkable shop. If you are a serious collector you will most certainly find something there to enhance your collection. They also have an extensive display of estate jewelry. Best of all prices are much lower than you would expect for high-end merchandise." James R/Eustis, FL (Trip Advisor: July 2020)
"A Gem of an experience! I was on a girls trip to St. Augustine and found this gem of a store near our hotel. I was amazed at the quality estate and antique jewelry pieces. I purchased not one but two beautiful pieces. One was an antique art deco ring and diamond earrings. The store manager, Terry, was informative and a delight to work with. He even made sure my ring was sized before my trip ended! I might have to plan another trip to St. Augustine just to go to this store again! I will be definitely be checking their website for future purchases." Jaime M. (Trip Advisor July 2020)
"I spent three weeks in St. Augustine and discovered this gem one day. After spending over an hour there I've returned three times. I was looking for a classic ring to accent my right hand. Wow, what a selection! It was like being in a cool museum. Terry is invaluable not to mention very patient and kind (there were six of us). Prices were reasonable and we ended up with two rings and a bracelet. Very cool indeed." Lisa S./Wellington, FL (Yelp 06/19/2020) "Best antique store in St. Augustine. Quality selections, good prices, very nice proprietors - worth a visit for anyone who likes antiques. So many so-called antique stores are just filled with junk. Not Churchills. Sometimes less is more -- a small shop stuffed with interesting and unique and high quality and hard to find items. My wife bought an estate ruby ring, and she is thrilled. In the same complex as the Lightner Museum." Steven G. (Trip Advisor March 2020)
"Delightful Treasures. Lovely shop chockablock full of collectibles, estate jewelry, and art. A perfect place to find a meaningful and classy souvenir from your visit to St Augustine. The owner has collected his inventory with passion over a long period of time and offers it at affordable prices. Located in the serene courtyard of the Lightner Museum this is a stop on the trolly (Red as well as Green & Orange), making it easy to get to and we’ll worth your while." Elize W. (Trip Advisor/January 2020) Beautiful Shop We were just browsing the extensive antique/estate jewelry & came upon a unusual & beautiful opal and diamond ring. It was too big for my fingers so we had it made into a pendant & it turned out stunning. The owners worked with me to get the pendant just the way I wanted it and shipped it out quickly. This shop has a good variety of stylish and custom jewelry as well as other antiques. I would definitely recommend this quaint shop." Cherry H. (Trip Advisor/January 2020)
Fantastic shop! Indescribable!! "Beautiful shop with beautiful rings and many other things. Staff wonderful and very helpful!" Susan K. (Trip Advisor/January 2020 A little gem within a huge gem! "Nice selection of estate jewelry, antiques, and collectibles at a fair price. Locally owned and operated. Shop is in the lovely Lightner Museum Courtyard, which is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Old St. Augustine. Knowledgeable and trustworthy dealer with many years of experience. We enjoyed the low key atmosphere and after browsing without interruption, we purchased a lovely emerald and diamond ring at a very good price." Isador/Central Florida (Trip Advisor/May 2018)
